W stosunku do oryginalnego raportu springsharpa zmodyfikowałem moc napędu (bez ruszania prędkości), by odzwierciedlić właściwość jednostki jako holownika - czyli dużą moc, konieczną do holowania innych jednostek.

Nowe okręty podwodne
Oto nowy, długo (jak sądzę) wyczekiwany okręt
podwodny. Jednostka ta wprowadza ważną
nowinkę w naszej flocie, a mianowicie napęd silnikami diesla do pływania
nawodnego, co wkrótce stanie się standardem dla okrętów podwodnych. Okręt wypiera ponad 100 ton więcej niż poprzednik,
co przekłada się na silniejsze uzbrojenie (3 wyrzutnie torped, w tym 2 dziobowe
i jedna rufowa) oraz znacznie większy zasięg (2200 mil morskich). Osiągi w
pływaniu podwodnym (prędkość, zasięg, głębokość zanurzenia) pozostały na z
grubsza niezmienionym poziomie i nie odstają znacząco od odpowiedników
równolegle budowanych za granicą (np. brytyjskiego typu D).

Mały krążownik - lider flotylli niszczycieli
Dziś prezentuję mały krążownik którego przeznaczeniem jest
rola lidera flotylli niszczycieli. Uwzględniając liczbę posiadanych
niszczycieli, przewiduję zbudowanie dwóch takich jednostek. Okręt jest
uzbrojony w 6 dział 120 mm co daje mu przewagę ogniową nad każdym niszczycielem
wroga, posiada do tego lekkie opancerzenie. Jest nieco wolniejszy od współczesnych
mu niszczycieli, ale na tle zagranicznej „konkurencji” wypada i tak bardzo
dobrze - austro-węgierski Admiral Spaun
z 1909 r. osiągał 27 w. (mając działa 100 mm), brytyjskie Bellona, Blonde i
Active z lat 1908-1909, uzbrojone w działa 102 mm osiągały 25 w. (z forsowaniem
maszyn 26-28 w.), i tylko nieco późniejszy (z 1911 r.) włoski Quarto „wyciągał”
28 w. Springsharp raportuje wprawdzie
słabą dzielność morską okrętu, ale trzeba wziąć na to poprawkę, bowiem tak
odnosi się on do każdego niedużego i szybkiego okrętu. Na pierwszy rzut oka
dość niska może się wydawać wolna burta na śródokręciu i rufie i w tym można by
próbować upatrywać przyczyny rzekomej niskiej dzielności morskiej, ale
porównanie do innych konkurencji wykazuje, iż nie jest tak najgorzej. Kadłub ma
wysokość porównywalną z brytyjskimi scoutami i nieznacznie tylko ustępuje
okrętom austro-węgierskim.

Podsumowanie 1909 r.
Przedstawiam podsumowanie 1909 r. w naszej flocie.
Wycofanych zostało kilka starszych okrętów (pomijając
jednostkę szkolną Strzybóg). A mianowicie: na złom poszły 3 torpedowce typu
Orka (Narwal, Białucha i Sum), oraz krążownik Grunwald. Bliźniak tego ostatniego,
krążownik Płowce również został wycofany, ale nie został pocięty na żyletki,
gdyż admiralicja przewidziała jego przebudowę na… pierwszy zbiornikowiec naszej
floty. Nie będzie mógł zabierać dużej ilości paliwa, ale na początek powinien
wystarczyć, biorąc pod uwagę, że udział paliw płynnych w napędzie naszej floty
wciąż nie jest duży. Zdaję sobie sprawę, że to dość niecodzienna konwersja, ale
skoro francuski Dupuy de Lome mógł się stać statkiem handlowym, to czemu nie…
Udało się wydobyć z część artylerii z wraku pancernika
Kazimierz I Odnowiciel, który wyleciał w powietrze w 1908 r. w bazie w Lipawie.
Ocalałe 3 działa kal. 343 mm zasiliły artylerię nadbrzeżną na Hajnanie, a
dokładnie baterię zachodnią w Haikou, której najcięższymi dotąd działami były 2
armaty 203/35 zdjęte z krążownika pancernego Bolesław Chrobry. „Nowe” działa
343 mm L/28 model 1885, mają następujące parametry: waga pocisku 450 kg,
prędkość wylotowa 565 m/s, zasięg 11 km, szybkostrzelność 0,33 strz./min.
Stanowiły one pochodną francuskich dział 340 mm L/28 model 1881/1884, w jakie
uzbrajano francuskie pancerniki budowane na przełomie lat 80-tych i 90-tych XIX
w.
Natomiast 8 wydobytych z wraku Kazimierza I Odnowiciela
dział kal. 152 mm na razie zostało zmagazynowanych, być może zostaną
wykorzystane w przyszłości.
Powiększyły się nasze posiadłości kolonialne. Za okazyjną
cenę udało się odkupić południową część Hajnanu od Francuzów, którzy nie byli
zainteresowani jego kolonizacją. W ten sposób całość wyspy weszła w nasze
posiadanie.
W związku z nabyciem reszty Hajnanu, powstała konieczność
wzmocnienia obrony tamtejszego wybrzeża, bowiem dotychczas w zasadzie nie
istniała ona. W pierwszej kolejności sformowano baterię przeznaczoną do obrony
portu Sanya, złożoną posiadanych jeszcze 6 dział 138 mm L/45 pochodzących z
krążownika Zbigniew Oleśnicki. Bateria otrzymała nazwę Generał Gubski, na
pamiątkę gen. dyw. Teodora Gubskiego, 1823-1878, dowódcy artylerii WP w latach
1875-1878.W najbliższych latach można się spodziewać dalszych inwestycji w
artylerię nadbrzeżną południowego Hajnanu.
