Dziś okręt będący pokłosiem dyskusji pod jednym z
poprzednich postów (mam nadzieję, że jeszcze pamiętacie, bo dość dawno to było;)).
Jest to mały podwodny stawiacz min, w sam raz – jak sądzę – na Bałtyk.
Zasadniczo jest to odpowiednik niemieckiego typu UC 1, przy czym nasza
jednostka jest minimalnie mniejsza, ale za to dysponuje przyzwoitą prędkością
nawodną wynoszącą 12 w. (pod tym względem okręty niemieckie prezentowały się
katastrofalnie – ledwie nieco ponad 6 w.). Większą prędkość okupiona jest
mniejszą ilością min, których zabierany zapas wynosi 10 szt. a także małym
zasięgiem w pływaniu podwodnym (40 mil morskich). Okręt oczywiście pozbawiony
jest torped, na które w tak małym kadłubie brakło już miejsca. Mam nadzieję, że
okręt się Wam spodoba. Ja widzę dla niego zastosowanie w skrytym stawianiu min
w miejscach, gdzie przeciwnik najmniej by się tego spodziewał (Cieśnina
Piławska, Kłajpeda, a może nawet Zalew Wiślany?). Małe zagrody minowe w takich
nieoczekiwanych lokalizacjach mogą być dla wroga sporym utrudnieniem i
przysporzyć mu pewnych strat, a na pewno – przynajmniej mocno zdezorganizować
żeglugę.
