Tym razem wymyśliłem taki oto okręcik dla floty meksykańskiej – pancernik obrony wybrzeża z przełomu epok – tj. żagla i pary, bowiem posiada obydwa te napędy. Żagle w tym okresie były jeszcze jak najbardziej spotykanym rodzajem napędu na okrętach wojennych, ale w tym przypadku znajdują o tyle większe uzasadnienie, że jednostka na samej maszynie parowej na dość mizerny zasięg. Uzbrojenie stanowią 2 18-tonowe działa odprzodowe Armstronga kal. 254 mm (L.14,5) w otwartych barbetach, a opancerzenie ma grubość 152 mm na burtach oraz 51 mm na pokładzie. Okręt nie ma jakiegoś specjalnego uzasadnienia, poza tym, że dla małej floty stanowi namiastkę prawdziwego pancernika - stanowi o prestiżu państwa, prezentuje jego banderę na morzu, a w razie wojny zawsze może się przydać. Zwłaszcza wobec indolencji ówczesnej US Navy nie lekceważyłbym jego (a właściwie ich – bo przewidziałem 3 jednostki) walorów ;)
