Dziś proponuję nietypowy okręt;) Jest to ciężki monitor dla rosyjskiej floty czarnomorskiej, przeznaczony do szturmowania cieśnin tureckich. Inspiracją były efektowne wizualizacje takich jednostek, jakie swego czasu znalazłem w rosyjskim internecie. Czy przedstawiają faktycznie planowane bądź rozważane jednostki, tego nie wiem, ale spodobały mi się na tyle, że postanowiłem się nimi zająć. Okręty są jak na tą klasę bardzo duże, bo przekraczają 16000 ton wyporności normalnej. Spożytkowano ją na naprawdę solidne opancerzenie i zabezpieczenie podwodnej części kadłuba, jak i osiągnięcie sporej szybkości – na poziomie „pełnoprawnych” ówczesnych pancerników. Odporność i prędkość są dla tych okrętów kluczowe z punktu widzenia zagrożenia minami i artylerią nadbrzeżną na zapewne małych dystansach boju, a także pożądanego efektu zaskoczenia przeciwnika. Uzbrojenie natomiast jak na tę wielkość nie jest może imponujące i liczy sobie 4 działa 305 mm w dwóch wieżach, 8 kazamatowych dział 152 mm i 6 przeciwlotniczych dział kal. 76 mm. Do swojej wizualizacji wykorzystałem elementy rysunku Ganguta autorstwa Gollevainena. Wspomniane wizualizacje rosyjskie także opierały się na zdjęciach tych jednostek.
