Swego czasu (post z 25 czerwca 2022 r.) prezentowałem propozycję brytyjskich krążowników pancernopokładowych uzbrojonych w działa 305 mm. Jako że w okresie PWS były by to już przestarzałe jednostki, w komentarzach padła propozycja budowy na bazie ich artylerii monitorów. Ponieważ okręty te były uzbrojone w działa w wieżach pojedynczych, powstałe monitory są dość nietypowe – mają również po dwie, pojedyncze wieże. Poza tym, są to całkiem typowe okręty tej klasy w ówczesnej Royal Navy. Mają 5500 ton wyporności, dość prosty kadłub, szerokie bąble (po 4,57 m z każdej burty), napęd przy pomocy maszyn parowych i dwóch śrub, kotły opalane węglem oraz opancerzenie o grubości 152 mm na burcie i 51 mm na pokładzie. Oprócz 12-calówek, okręty otrzymały po 4 6-calówki w stanowiskach pokładowych (również zdjęte z krążowników), oraz po 1 armacie plot kal. 3 cali. Nazwy – jak to zazwyczaj było z monitorami – pochodzą od dowódców brytyjskiej armii lądowej.
