Ciężki krążownik torpedowy Ibuki

 Chyba mi się ten skośny wirus na mózg rzucił... Efektem jest taki oto okręt – japoński krążownik Ibuki, ale ukończony w postaci ciężkiego krążownika torpedowego, uzbrojonego w 80 wyrzutni „długich lanc”. Wyrzutnie zostały rozmieszczone głównie w poczwórnych stanowiskach na sponsonach wzdłuż burt oraz na pokładzie – trzy stanowiska na rufie i trzy na dziobie. Uzbrojenie artyleryjskie w związku z tym ograniczono do 8 dział 203 mm, likwidując jedną z wież dziobowych.

Rosyjskie monitory rzeczne

W XIX w. Rosjanie nie posiadali na Amurze okrętów wojennych z prawdziwego zdarzenia. Pierwsze monitory typu Szkwał zbudowano dopiero w początkach XX w. Stąd pomysł na poniższe okręty. Są to jednostki  co do wyglądu inspirowane wczesnymi pancernikami wieżowymi, ale oczywiście dostosowane gabarytami (zwłaszcza zanurzeniem) do realiów rzecznych. Uzbrojenie główne stanowią 4 działa 152 mm L/23 model 1867, czyli wczesne odtylcowe działa czarnoprochowe, ulokowane w dwóch wieżach działowych. Ich uzupełnieniem są 2 szybkostrzelne 1-funtówki. Opancerzenie okrętów jest całkiem symboliczne i sięga 76 mm. Niestety na tej wielkości okrętu nie dało się uzyskać specjalnie więcej, mimo iż i tak nieco przeciążyłem go jak na standardy springsharpa. Ale myślę, że w odniesieniu do okrętu rzecznego jest to dopuszczalne, zwłaszcza że przy takich małych jednostkach algorytmy programu nie spisują się zbyt dobrze i mam wrażenie że lepiej jest zaufać własnemu wyczuciu.

Norweski krążownik/kanonierka

 Dziś Matsushima dla ubogich ;) Nawet gdybym tego nie napisał, po rysunku łatwo by się chyba było domyślić pierwowzoru – japońskie krążowniki są powiększoną wersji tego okrętu (albo on jest ich wersją pomniejszoną – jak kto woli;)) Generalnie mają to być uniwersalne krążowniko-kanonierki, zdolne do zwalczania zarówno okrętów przeciwnika na pełnym morzu (choć raczej przy niezbyt wzburzonym), ale też dzięki małemu zanurzeniu – mogące działać defensywnie blisko własnego brzegu, broniąc własnych portów i innych strategicznie ważnych punktów. Powstaje naturalne pytanie – kto by się mógł pokusić o takie jednostki, i odpowiedź może być chyba tylko jedna – jakieś małe, niezbyt zasobne państwo, które posiada jednak pewne ambicje morskie i potrzebę posiadania floty. Padło na Norwegię. Specyficzne warunki tego kraju (rozwinięta linia brzegowa, liczne fiordy, wyspy , zatoki, sprzyjały by, jak sądzę wykorzystaniu takich jednostek. A przydały by się one o tyle, że w drugiej połowie lat 80-tych XIX w. flota norweska sprowadzała się do czterech niskoburtowych monitorów z odprzodowymi działami kal. 267 mm oraz paru dość archaicznych drewnianych fregat i korwet. A tymczasem np. Duńczycy posiadali w owym czasie całkiem pokaźną flotę okrętów opancerzonych, na czele z 5300-tonowym kazamatowo-wieżowym Helgolandem wyposażonym w 1 działo 305 mm i 4 – 260 mm. Nie twierdzę przy tym, że wojna między nimi była jakoś specjalnie prawdopodobna, ale spora flota sąsiada mogła być dla Norwegów pewną motywacją do rozbudowy własnych sił… A przynajmniej do jakichś planów w tym zakresie ;)

Francuski pancernik Tourville z 1879 r.

W latach 70-tych XIX w. Francuzi opracowali, zgodnie z popularną w owych czasach doktryną „jednego nokautującego uderzenia” działo o dość monstrualnym kalibrze 420 mm występującą w dwóch wariantach: o długości lufy 19 lub 22 kalibry. Armaty te weszły na uzbrojenie małych (7500 ton wyporności) pancerników typu Terrible, które przeznaczone były do operowania na  Bałtyku.  Ja natomiast wpadłem na pomysł budowy z ich wykorzystaniem „pełnoskalowego” pancernika wyposażonego w 4 takie armaty. Okręt wzorem podobnych jednostek zagranicznych (Inflexible, Duilio)  posiada diagonalnie ustawione wieże, co teoretycznie pozwala strzelać całą artylerią w każdym kierunku. Ze względu na górną część kadłuba i wysoce prawdopodobne uszkodzenia osprzętu jednostki od podmuchu w przypadku strzelania w kierunkach zbliżonych do osi symetrii pozostaje to tylko teorią, ale wówczas uważano takie ustawienie za korzystne, więc by pozostać w duchu epoki, nie będę się z tego wyłamywał;) Starałem się także zachować charakterystyczne elementy francuskiej architektury okrętowej, takie jak zawał burtowy, maszty bojowe czy charakterystyczny kształt dziobu. Myślę, że na tle innych produktów francuskiego budownictwa okrętowego drugiej połowy XIX w., okręt nie jest aż tak znowu dziwaczny, jakby się mogło na pierwszy rzut oka wydawać ;)

Przebudowa krążownika pancernego Edgar Quinet na lotniskowiec

W traktacie waszyngtońskim Francji przyznano limit 80.000 ton wyporności na lotniskowce, z czego skorzystała ona tylko w ograniczonym zakresie, przebudowując pojedynczy nieukończony pancernik Bearn, który po konwersji miał 22.146 ton wyporności standard. Zostało więc jeszcze sporo tonażu do wykorzystania, stąd pomysł na kolejne przebudowy których podstawą są duże krążowniki pancerne Edgar Quinet i Waldeck-Rousseau. Jako lotniskowce z długością rzędu 160 m kwalifikować się będą co najwyżej do średnich, jeśli nie małych jednostek tej klasy. Przebudowa zakłada likwidację wszystkich struktur wznoszących się ponad pokład pogodowy i zastąpienie ich obszerną nadbudową kryjąca w sobie główny hangar operacyjny o długości 98 m. Miejsce na drugi hangar o przeznaczeniu remontowo-warsztatowym, długi na 80 m, dzięki wymianie napędu na nowoczesny – turbinowy, wygospodarowano poniżej, wewnątrz kadłuba.  Okręty zachowały kazamaty w kadłubie, w których w miejsce starych dział 194 mm zamontowano nowe, kal. 155 mm. Oprócz tego jedno działo tego kalibru posadowiono w stanowisku z maską na dziobie. W roli artylerii plot. występuje 8 dział kal. 75 mm. Okręty wizualnie mocno przypominają Bearna, na co wpływ mają opadające końcówki pokładu lotniczego w części dziobowej i rufowej, charakterystyczna (choć nieco zmniejszona) nadbudówka z masywnym kominem oraz  artyleria umieszczona w kazamatach.
Uwzględniając zasady przyjęte do symulacji okrętów lotniczych  w springsharpie jednostka o takich wymiarach i wyporności powinna móc przenosić 48 samolotów. Ze względu na gabaryty okrętów, będą to jednak głównie maszyny lekkie, i to chyba ze stałym parkowaniem ich części na pokładzie lotniczym. Realnie, pojemność hangaru oceniam na jakieś 25 samolotów.
W dalszej perspektywie ich kariera jako lotniskowców floty będzie jednak raczej wątpliwa. Podejrzewam że  w czasie DWS z powodzeniem mogłyby pełnić rolę lotniskowców eskortowych (o ile nie skończą marnie w jakimś Tulonie czy innym Mers-el-Kebir…).

Rosyjskie taranowce

Kolejna propozycja – taranowiec z lat 60-tych XIX w. w stylu wojny secesyjnej ;) Długo się zastanawiałem, kto by mógł się na coś takiego zdecydować, i przyszło mi do głowy, że Rosjanie na Morzu Czarnym. A dlaczego? Ano dlatego, że po wojnie krymskiej mieli dość mocne ograniczenia co do rozbudowy floty na tym akwenie –  w wyniku ustaleń traktatu paryskiego z 1856 r. wolno im było mieć tylko 6 jednostek o wyporności do 800 ton i długości na LW 50 m. W efekcie, flota czarnomorska w latach 60-tych nie mogła się równać z turecką, która, jakby to dziwnie nie brzmiało, była wówczas jedną z silniejszych flot świata. Wobec takiego przeciwnika potrzeba było dość nieszablonowych metod walki, i taranowce, jakkolwiek iluzoryczna była by to szansa, mogły by w tych okolicznościach zaistnieć. Okręty zostały uzbrojone w tradycyjną artylerię – 36-funtowe odprzodowe działa gładkolufowe. Zostały one rozmieszczone w nadbudówce-kazamacie chronionej przez pancerz grubości 102 mm (a więc całkiem grubym jak na tamten czas, na poziomie pierwszych pancerników). Działa zostały ustawione na lawetach poruszanych po torach kierunkowych, dzięki czemu można je wszystkie skierować na dowolną z burt (stąd po 4 furty na burtę), a dodatkowo skrajne mogą strzelać w stronę dziobu i rufy. Kadłub nie posiada opancerzenia, gdyż ma minimalną wysokość nad LW, stąd prawdopodobieństwo trafienia go jest minimalne, a poza tym przy nałożonych ograniczeniach wielkościowych zamontowanie pancerza o sensownej grubości i tak było by nierealne.  Niska wolna burta ma skutek w postaci słabej dzielności morskiej, stąd dla osiągnięcia w miarę suchych warunków dla artylerii, na dziobie zastosowano falochron. Na maszynach parowych okręt ma dość mizerny zasięg (aczkolwiek na Morze Czarne raczej wystarczający), stąd postanowiłem go wyposażyć także w pomocniczy napęd żaglowy, co jest zresztą standardem tej epoki.

Niemieckie kanonierki kolonialne

Poniższy okręt słusznie może budzić zdziwienie. Jest to bowiem niemiecka kanonierka kolonialna zaproponowana w 1939 r. Tak, nie pomyliłem się ;) Niemcy wprawdzie kolonii wówczas nie mieli, ale byli pewni że w wyniku wojny je zdobędą, a skoro tak, to do służby w nich potrzebne będą odpowiednie okręty. Nie byli by sobą, gdyby do sprawy nie podeszli metodycznie i planowo, i zawczasu nie przygotowali odpowiedniego projektu. Tylko ta wojna poszła nie tak jak chcieli…
Przechodząc do rzeczy, mamy tu całkiem zgrabny 2500-tonowy okręcik, uzbrojony w 4 działa 128 mm, kilka pelotek i 4 wyrzutnie torped. Jako główne uzbrojenie, zgodnie z posiadanymi informacjami o projekcie, przyjąłem działo 12,8 cm L/45 SK C/34. Działa te znajdują się na stanowiskach w typie wieży działowej, podobnych do stanowisk dział uniwersalnych SK C/41 które miały wejść na uzbrojenie planowanych niszczycieli typu Z 46 (1936C) i Z 52 (1944).
Jednostka jest napędzana silnikami spalinowymi, ma zasięg 11000 Mm i rozwija prędkość 24 w.  Zaplanowano wybudowanie 6 egzemplarzy, w rzeczywistości – żadnej nawet nie rozpoczęto…
