Za radą kolegi Jasta, odchodzę dziś na moment od głównego
tematu bloga i wracam na moment do mojego ulubionego XIX w. ;) Okrętami jakie
dziś prezentuję są pancerniki typu Gotz von Berlichingen, czyli zmodernizowana
wersja typu Brandenburg, o których wspominałem przy okazji prezentacji floty
niemieckiej A.D. 1914 (http://springsharp.blogspot.com/2016/04/flota-niemiecka-ad-1914.html
). Nowe pancerniki zachowują ogólny układ konstrukcyjny poprzedników, ale mają
nieco większe wymiary i wyporność co wykorzystano do wprowadzenia pewnych
modyfikacji uzbrojenia i uzyskania lepszych osiągów.
Przede wszystkim, ujednolicono artylerię główną, którą tworzy
teraz 6 jednakowych dział kal. 280 mm L/40, zamontowanych w 3 wieżach
działowych o wyraźnie grubszym niż poprzednio opancerzeniu. Artylerię średnią
zmieniono na 8 działa kal. 150 mm L/35, w czym dopatrywać się należy reakcji na
polski pancernik Generał-Admirał Nowosilski ( http://springsharp.blogspot.com/2014/04/nowy-predrednot.html
), noszący silną baterię aż 16 dział 6-calowych. Jednocześnie jest to wyraz
pojawiającego się we flocie niemieckiej zafascynowania doktryną nawały
ogniowej, co pełny swój wyraz znajdzie w kolejnych typach predrednotów (Kaiser
Friedrich III, Wittelsbach).
Jeśli chodzi o opancerzenie burtowe jest ono nieco cieńsze
niż na Brandenburgach, ale dzięki zastosowaniu stali utwardzanej metodą Harveya
należy się spodziewać większej odporności na trafienia niż na dwójce Brandenburg
i Worth (360 mm stali Harveya stanowi ekwiwalent ok. 576 mm pancerza stalowego
typu compound, zastosowanego na ww. parze). Zapewnia to w teorii pełną odporność
na trafienia z dział kal. 305 mm najnowszego polskiego pancernika na dystansie
ok. 3600 jardów, przy strzelaniu przezeń pociskami „lekkimi” o wadze 332 kg,
oraz prawdopodobnie ograniczoną przy strzelaniu pociskami „ciężkimi” o wadze
455 kg.
Wyraźnemu wzmocnieniu uległo też opancerzenie baterii dział
artylerii średniej, oraz stanowiska dowodzenia.
Dzięki nieco większej długości kadłuba wzrosła nieco
prędkość (do 17 w.), a dodatkowo udało się zwiększyć zasięg do przyzwoitych
5500 Mm przy prędkości 10 w.
Ze zmian czysto estetycznych odnotować można nieco bardziej
rozbudowaną nadbudówkę dziobową oraz nieco zmieniony dziób, bliższy temu, jaki
miały kolejne typy niemieckich predrednotów.
Ps. 283 mm i 149 mm, wiem, ale nie mogę się przyzwyczaić ;)
