Ale do rzeczy… Okręt poniżej prezentowany, to jak nietrudno się domyślić po
sylwetce – krążownik pomocniczy zaadaptowany z jednostki handlowej. Niby nic
specjalnego, były już takie jednostki w naszej flocie, ale ten ma parę cech
wyróżniających. Przede wszystkim ma możliwość zabierania na pokład jednego
wodnosamolotu typu Curtiss F. Samolot może być transportowany na pokładzie
rufowym, skąd jest opuszczany na wodę za pomocą dźwigu. Wodnosamolot ma oczywiście
zapewnić lepsze rozpoznanie i wcześniejsze ostrzeżenie o zbliżającym się
zespole wroga a tym samym wpłynąć na dalsze uszczelnienie linii dozoru, na
których ma pełnić służbę nasz krążownik. Jeżeli natomiast to rozwiązanie by się
nie sprawdziło, to z wodnosamolotu się zrezygnuje i po sprawie;)
Uzbrojenie artyleryjskie krążownika składa się z dwóch dział
kal. 105 m
L/45, jak już zapewne się domyślacie – zdjętych z wraku krążownika Magdeburg.
Tych dział udało się pozyskać 8, w sam raz dla 4 jednostek (w tym 3 typu
prezentowanego dzisiaj). Uzbrojenie artyleryjskie uzupełniają automatyczne
działka kal. 37 mm
MacLeana (L/70, szybkostrzelność teoretyczna 100 strz./min.!). Pomysł ich
wykorzystania we flocie podsunął mi swego czasu kolega ŁK i oto dziś został on
wcielony w życie. Jeśli działka te sprawdzą się w praktyce, możliwe iż
zagoszczą na stałe i w większej ilości na pokładach naszych okrętów wojennych,
a może nawet staną się podstawą do opracowania w przyszłości pierwszego naszego
działka plot. ;)
