Pancernik z działami 432 mm



Oto obiecywany nowy typ pancernika. W odróżnieniu od poprzednika jest to okręt barbetowy, wbrew pozorom przy niedużych dystansach walki zapewniający lepszą ochronę artylerzystom (barbeta + osłona przeciwodłamkowa ponad nią) i możliwość ekonomiczniejszego rozłożenia opancerzenia (skrócenie górnego pasa pancernego, który nie musi się już rozciągać od przedniego skraja dziobowej wieży do tylnego skraja rufowej, a także skrócenie, dzięki obecności barbety, pasa głównego). Uzbrojenie, zgodnie z obowiązującymi wówczas koncepcjami (teoria „jednego nokautującego uderzenia”) ma gigantyczny kaliber 432 mm, co pozwala swobodnie przebijać pancerze każdego potencjalnego przeciwnika. Z kolei grubość własnego opancerzenia, mimo niezbyt imponującej na pierwszy rzut oka wartości, jest tak dobrana by wytrzymać trafienia pocisków z najcięższych ówcześnie dział wchodzących na wyposażenie niemieckiej floty, nie wyłączając nawet dział kal. 305 mm kanonierek typu Wespe. Których, nawiasem mówięc, i tak nie uważam za równorzędnego przeciwnika dla pancernika z prawdziwego zdarzenia.  Z kolei przed ogniem dział kal. 260 mm, w które wyposażone były najnowsze wówczas pancerniki niemieckie (typ Sachsen: 7.677 ton, 13,5 w., 6x260, pb 254), nasz okręt wydaje się być zabezpieczony całkowicie. Poniżej, zgodnie z tradycją prezentuje dwa warianty malowania okrętu, oraz symulację ze springsharpa:

Krążownik nieopancerzony (1881)



Idzie nowe:-) może przez te żagle na to nie wygląda, ale okręt jest znacznym postępem w stosunku do wcześniejszych – mamy tu bowiem do czynienia z całkiem nowego typu jednostką krążowniczą. Nie jest to już klasyczna fregata czy korweta wywodząca się z czasów flot żaglowych, ze staroświecką baterią burtową, ale nowoczesny i dość szybki (choć mały i nadal nieopancerzony) krążownik, ze znacznie nowocześniejszym niż u poprzedników sposobem rozmieszczenia artylerii, która mimo istniejącego ożaglowania ma lepsze kąty ostrzału niż działa na ciągłym, zakrytym pokładzie bateryjnym. Oczywiście, ze względu na swoje rozmiary jednostka ma ograniczony potencjał bojowy, może nawet mniejszy niż poprzednio prezentowane korwety, niemniej można ją potraktować jako okręt eksperymentalny, swego rodzaju wprawkę przed zbudowaniem krążownika (krążowników?) z prawdziwego zdarzenia.  Natomiast w niczym nie ulega swoim odpowiednikom we flocie niemieckiej – wodowanym w latach 1880-1881 korwetom typu Carola, które przy podobnej wyporności rzędu 2400 ton miały co prawda 10 dział 150 mm (ale w baterii burtowej) i prędkość na poziomie zaledwie 13,5 w.

Pancernik obrony wybrzeża przebudowany z pancernika wieżowego



10 października prezentowałem mały pancernik wieżowy, uzbrojony w 4 gładkolufowe działa 170-funtowe: http://springsharp.blogspot.com/2013/10/flota-polska-w-xix-w-pancernik-wiezowy.html Na przełomie lat 70-tych i 80-tych jest to już jednostka przestarzała, nie odpowiadająca wymogom współczesnego pola walki. Zwłaszcza archaiczne jest uzbrojenie w działa gładkolufowe, ale też i pancerz nie pozwala mierzyć się z nowoczesnymi pancernikami. Jedyne do czego jednostka by się nadała, to rola okrętu obrony wybrzeża, a i to jedynie po głębokiej modernizacji. W jej ramach zlikwidowałem ożaglowanie, które dla okrętu obrony wybrzeża było by tylko zbędnym balastem. Do tego wymianie uległy maszyny oraz pancerz z żelaznego na stalowy. Ale najważniejszą zmianą jest uzbrojenie, które teraz tworzą dwa odtylcowe działa gwintowane kal. 229 mm, a oprócz tego kilka lekkich działek szybkostrzelnych, do zwalczania torpedowców. Poniżej prezentuję dwa rysunki okrętu po modernizacji: ze złożonymi i podniesionymi nadburciami.

Monitor dla kolonii



Czas wrócić do tematu kolonii:) mamy tam wprawdzie parę kanonierek, ale żadnego prawdziwego okrętu opancerzonego. Jego namiastką może być niezbyt duży monitor, który dzięki małemu zanurzeniu mógłby swobodnie pływać po lagunach i estuariach w jakie obfituje wybrzeże Togo, które przypomnę – upatrzyłem sobie na jedną z naszych kolonii. Wybrzeże Liberii z kolei w takie atrakcje nie obfituje, dlatego okręty są tylko dwa – na potrzeby ochrony wybrzeża Togo. Wybrzeża Liberii mogą strzec okręty pełnomorskie..

Czas na pierwszą serię torpedowców. Zgodnie z tendencjami panującymi we flotach na przełomie lat 70-tych i 80-tych XIX w., są to okręty małe, jak na swój czas dość szybkie, ale o ograniczonej wartości bojowej, ze względu na całkowitą w zasadzie zależność warunków pogodowych – prowadzenie przez nie działań jest możliwe w zasadzie tylko przy minimalnych falach. W dodatku, nikły zasięg ogranicza możliwość ich użycia do działań typowo przybrzeżnych. Typ liczy sobie 4 jednostki, tworzących pierwszy dywizjon torpedowców w naszej flocie.

Pancernik wieżowy Konstanty I (1878)



Czas na jakiś konkretniejszy pancernik:) Parę słów o nim: jest to klasyczny okręt wieżowy, z czterema ciężkimi działami kal. 279 mm umieszczonymi w dwóch wieżach systemu Colesa/Ericssona. Jak wiadomo, wieże te posiadały opancerzenie jedynie w części położonej ponad pokładem, nie zapewniając tym samym żadnej ochrony ludziom i urządzeniom poniżej. To zaś zmusza do osłonięcia całości burty od górnej krawędzi głównego pasa pancernego do górnej krawędzi burty stosunkowo grubym dodatkowym (górnym) pasem pancerza, który rozciąga się  w tym przypadku na takiej samej długości, jak pas główny. Nie jest to zbyt perspektywiczne rozwiązanie, bo waży dużo – zmusza tym samym do budowania okrętu o niskiej wolnej burcie a więc i niespecjalnej dzielności morskiej. Całe szczęście, że nie musiałem stosować pancerza o takich grubościach jak inne floty (w których dochodziły one w latach 70-tych do pół metra albo i więcej). Grubości pancerza w tym przypadku obliczone są na zatrzymanie niemieckiego pocisku kalibru 260 mm, którego przebijalność obliczyłem na 284 mm pancerza stalowego z dystansu 1800 m, lub 269 mm z dystansu 2700 m. Gdyby trzeba było zapewnić ochronę przed pociskami cięższymi (a takie w przyszłości się pojawią), nie będzie się już dało raczej utrzymać takiego systemu opancerzenia, przy założeniu zachowania rozsądnej wielkości kadłuba. Dlatego spodziewam się, że kolejny typ pancernika może być już wyposażony w działa umieszczone w otwartych barbetach.

Nowa kanonierka rzeczna



Coś dawno nasza flotylla rzeczna nie otrzymała żadnego nowego okrętu. Czas nadrobić tę zaległość. Proponowaną jednostką będzie kanonierka wzorowana na morskich kanonierkach typu flat-iron – tutaj oczywiście w znacznie mniejszej skali. Mimo mniejszych rozmiarów, okręt ten i tak stanowi postęp w stosunku do poprzedniego typu kanonierek rzecznych, pochodzącego z lat 60-tych, napędzanego kołami bocznymi i uzbrojonego w odprzodowe działa gładkolufowe..
