W oczekiwaniu na coś większego proponuję nowy okręt podwodny :) Nowa jakość co prawda to nie jest, ale zawsze lekki postęp w stosunku do poprzedniego typu. Jedynym parametrem który jest na gorszym poziomie jest głębokość zanurzenia, ale i tak możliwość operacyjnego pływania 27 m pod woda żadnego wstydu jednostce na ten czas nie przynosi.

Podsumowanie 1907 r.
Przedstawiam podsumowanie 1907 r. w naszej flocie.
Na złom został odesłany najstarszy z okrętów podwodnych,
Węgorz z 1892 r., co najmniej od kilku już lat nie mogący uchodzić za jednostkę
bojową. Ze służby postanowiłem także wycofać nieudane barki artyleryjskie typu
Mątwa z lat 1902-1903. Uznałem, że ze swoimi starymi działami o niewielkim
zasięgu (10 km)
nie będą przydatne do obrony baz w sytuacji, gdy doświadczenia wojny z Japonią
wskazują na możliwość prowadzenia skutecznego ognia na dystansach rzędu kilkunastu
km. Przewiduję, że w najbliższej przyszłości z dział zdjętych z barek
sformowana zostanie bateria nadbrzeżna gdzieś w rejonie cieśniny Irbeńskiej,
gdzie ich mały zasięg nie będzie bardzo przeszkadzał w tym, by mogły skutecznie
zagradzać wejście do Zatoki Ryskiej. Same barki być może znajdą jakieś
zastosowanie cywilne, bądź jako pomocnicze jednostki pływające Marynarki
Wojennej.
Z przykrością informuję ponadto, że na skutek błędu
nawigacyjnego we mgle na skały w cieśninie Sund weszła kanonierka Argos (z 1901
r.). Szczęśliwie obyło się bez ofiar, ale uszkodzenia części podwodnej okrętu okazały
się na tyle duże, że jednostka nie wróci już do służby i zostanie rozebrana na
miejscu.
Sfinalizowane zostało wreszcie długo oczekiwane
przekalibrowanie dział 305 mm
pochodzących z pancernika Chin Yen a stanowiących obecnie uzbrojenie baterii
północnej w Haikou. Po modernizacji działa te mają następujące charakterystyki:
kaliber 320 mm,
długość lufy L/21, waga pocisku 453,5 kg, prędkość wylotowa 505 m/s, zasięg 13 km, szybkostrzelność 0,3
strz./min. (to oczywiście szacunki, możliwe do skorygowania).
Na ląd trafiły też działa 240 mm zdjęte z
przebudowanego krążownika Zbigniew Oleśnicki. Sformowano z nich dwudziałową
baterię Beniowski w pobliżu miejscowości Manarara Avaratra na wschodnim
wybrzeżu wyspy (patron miał co prawda epizod antyrosyjski w dorobku, ale że
chodzi o Madagaskar, to przymknięto na to oko;)) Nowa bateria chronić ma
wejście do zatoki Antongil, największej na całym Madagaskarze. Charakterystyki
stanowiących ją dział prezentują się następująco: kaliber 240 mm, długość lufy L/40,
waga pocisku 170 kg,
prędkość wylotowa 800 m/s, zasięg 11,7 km, szybkostrzelność 2 strz./min.
Na koniec wspomnę o zmianie, jaka nastąpiła w Admiralicji.
Na stanowisku Szefa Sztabu Marynarki Wojennej przechodzącego do służby cywilnej
wiceadm. Gabriela Łaniewskiego-Wołka zastąpił znany nam dobrze z działań
wojennych podczas ostatniej wojny kontradm. Edward Szczęsnowicz, awansowany na
tę okoliczność do stopnia wiceadmirała.

Pierwsze trałowce
W ramach rozbudowy sił minowych postanowiłem zbudować dla
naszej floty pierwszą serię trałowców. Na razie są to niewielkie jednostki przeznaczone
do trałowania min w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie portów. Mają więc mały zasięg,
niewielkie rozmiary i generalnie dość ograniczone możliwości. Niemniej jednak,
są to okręty pionierskie w skali światowej – nikt inny nic specjalnie lepszego
w tym czasie (1908 r.) nie posiadał. A na większe okręty tej klasy przyjdzie
jeszcze czas:)

Stawiacze min przebudowane z kanonierek torpedowych
Znajduje
się w naszej flocie trochę jednostek, które już nie odpowiadają wymogom
współczesnego pola walki, a których żywot można by przedłużyć, adaptując je do
pełnienia nowej funkcji. W tej liczbie są kanonierki torpedowe typu Perseusz
pochodzące z drugiej połowy lat 80-tych XIX w. Okręty te z prędkością 19,2 w.
są zdecydowanie zbyt wolne do tego by skutecznie wykonywać ataki torpedowe czy
zwalczać torpedowce i w tej roli klasa ta została już dawno zastąpiona przez
kontrtorpedowce. Postanowiłem więc całą trójkę przebudować na stawiacze min,
mogące zabrać jednorazowo do 80 min. Zmiany objęły montaż torów minowych,
likwidację wyrzutni torped, wymianę uzbrojenia artyleryjskiego na 2 działa szybkostrzelne kal. 75 mm, oraz
wymianę siłowni na nową, pozwalającą uzyskać prędkość 22 w. Zasięg wynosi teraz
2200 mil morskich, co może nie imponuje, ale wydaje się być wartością
wystarczającą na warunki bałtyckie. Wyobrażam sobie, że tak powstałe okręty
będą mogły współdziałać z niedawno prezentowanym stawiaczem min Hades,
ewentualnie nawet mogą pokusić się o samodzielne skryte (np. pod osłoną nocy)
postawienie niedużego pola minowego.

Stawiacz min
Znalazłem wreszcie trochę czasu by zaprezentować nowy okręt.
Zgodnie z zapowiedziami jest to stawiacz min, mogący zabrać ich jednorazowo 250
sztuk. Spora prędkość umożliwia ofensywne wykorzystanie jednostki, choć
oczywiście nie jest to ultraszybka jednostka mogąca działać w pojedynkę. Na
takie przyjdzie jeszcze czas w przyszłości;) A i tak jest to bodaj najszybsza
jednostka tej klasy zbudowana przed wybuchem Wielkiej Wojny, i w ogóle jedna z
pierwszych specjalnie do tego celu zbudowanych. Jesteśmy więc w gronie
światowych prekursorów:)
