Dziś proponuję przebudowę pancernika Generał-Admirał
Nowosilski na okręt bazę dla torpedowców i okrętów podwodnych (a także innych
mniejszych jednostek, o ile zajdzie taka potrzeba). Okręt zachował w pełni
zdolność pływania na pełnym morzu, choć jego maszynownia i kotłownia została
ograniczona o 50%, celem zyskania przestrzeni. Jednostka została też pozbawiona
głównej artylerii (zapewne zostanie ustawiona gdzieś na brzegu), jak również
całości artylerii średniej. Okręt zachował jedynie symboliczne uzbrojenie w postaci
2 dział 120 mm i 4 – 75 mm. Dla pełnienia nowej funkcji, na okręcie rozbudowano pomieszczenia
mieszkalne i socjalne dla załóg obsługiwanych jednostek, jak również
rozmieszczono magazyny środków bojowych (głównie torpedy, a także amunicja) i
zaopatrzenia. W ograniczonym zakresie jednostka posiada także zaplecze
warsztatowe, pozwalające na przeprowadzanie bieżących napraw obsługiwanych
okrętów. Celem ułatwienia prowadzenia napraw i zaopatrywania obsługiwanych
jednostek, okręt otrzymał na dziobie i rufie po 2 pokaźnych rozmiarów dźwigi.
