Dzisiejszy okręt to mały, symbolicznie opancerzony krążownik
dla floty niemieckiej. Jest to alternatywa dla faktycznie budowanych w latach
70-tych i na początku 80-tych XIX w. kanonierek typu Wespe, które przy
mniejszych wymiarach (1139 ton wyporności) niosły 1 działo kalibru aż 305 mm! Oczywiście, były to
okręty bardzo nieudane, o słabej dzielności morskiej. Niniejszy okręt,
jakkolwiek również nieco przeciążony uzbrojeniem, wydaje się być zdecydowanie
lepszą alternatywą. Jego zaletą jest spory potencjał ofensywny oraz unifikacja
uzbrojenia z fregatami pancernymi typu Grosser Kurfurst i Kaiser, oraz
korwetami pancernymi typu Sachsen. Oczywiście, trudno go uznać za pełnomorski
krążownik. Raczej można spodziewać się wykorzystania go w roli okrętu obrony
wybrzeża, co zresztą było by zgodne z doktryną Kaiserliche Marine pod rządami
gen. von Stoscha, nie aspirującej wówczas jeszcze do panowania na morzach.

Moje wątpliwości budzą 2 ostatnie linijki. Program obliczył, że okręt jest ekstremalnie ciasny. Załoga by go nie polubiła.
OdpowiedzUsuńno tak, mogli by go niezbyt lubic. na pocieszenie powiem, że i tak długich rejsów, poza Morze Półnicne, raczej nim nie przewiduję;)
