Dziś przedstawiam swój pomysł na
norweski pancernik obrony wybrzeża z okresu międzywojennego. Założenie dla
jednostki jest takie, że ma to być okręt walczący stacjonarnie, strzelający do
przeciwnika zza wysokich brzegów norweskich fiordów, stąd w opancerzeniu
położony został nacisk na pancerz horyzontalny, jako najważniejszy. W związku z
przeznaczeniem okrętu, prędkość i zasięg zostały świadomie ograniczone.
Opancerzenie pionowe ma być symboliczne, wystarczające co najwyżej do ochrony
przed pociskami niszczycieli, na wypadek jakby się jakiś przedarł w pobliże
pancernika. Ciekawostką jest silne uzbrojenie torpedowe – jak wykazały
doświadczenia z 1940 r., torpedy w fiordach mogą być groźną bronią, i kto wie,
może by się takiemu pancernikowi przydały?

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
14 824 lbs / 6 724 Kg = 10,8 x 14,0 " / 356 mm shells or 3,2 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1,03
Metacentric height 3,0 ft / 0,9 m
Roll period: 16,6 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 73 %
- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 1,00
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1,47
Hull form characteristics:
Hull has a flush deck
Block coefficient: 0,571
Length to Beam Ratio: 6,21 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 20,69 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 33 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 9,00 degrees
Stern overhang: 0,00 ft / 0,00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 17,49 ft / 5,33 m
- Forecastle (20%): 15,85 ft / 4,83 m
- Mid (50%): 14,99 ft / 4,57 m
- Quarterdeck (15%): 14,99 ft / 4,57 m
- Stern: 14,99 ft / 4,57 m
- Average freeboard: 15,42 ft / 4,70 m
