Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
6 140 lbs / 2 785 Kg = 11,4 x 11,0 " / 280 mm shells or 1,4 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1,01
Metacentric height 2,3 ft / 0,7 m
Roll period: 16,4 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 63 %
- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0,45
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1,58
Hull form characteristics:
Hull has a flush deck
Block coefficient: 0,570
Length to Beam Ratio: 4,93 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 17,16 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 39 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 40
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): -2,00 degrees
Stern overhang: 2,49 ft / 0,76 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 13,52 ft / 4,12 m
- Forecastle (20%): 12,01 ft / 3,66 m
- Mid (50%): 12,01 ft / 3,66 m
- Quarterdeck (15%): 12,01 ft / 3,66 m
- Stern: 12,01 ft / 3,66 m
- Average freeboard: 12,13 ft / 3,70 m
Ship tends to be wet forward
Ship space, strength and comments:
Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 72,0%
- Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 72,1%
Waterplane Area: 12 182 Square feet or 1 132 Square metres
Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 109%
Structure weight / hull surface area: 134 lbs/sq ft or 654 Kg/sq metre
Hull strength (Relative):
- Cross-sectional: 0,89
- Longitudinal: 2,80
- Overall: 1,00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is excellent
Room for accommodation and workspaces is cramped
Excellent seaboat, comfortable, can fire her guns in the heaviest weather
