HMS Unapproachable - 23.06.2012

Powszechnie stosowaną praktyką w Royal Navy na przełomie XIX i XX w. było, by każdy nowy typ pancernika miał swój odpowiednik w klasie krążowników pancernych. Odpowiednikiem fisherowskiego pancernika „Untakeable” uzbrojonego w16 dział 254 mm(patrz post z 04.06.2012 r.) wśród krążowników pancernych miał okręt nazwany równie żartobliwie „Unapproachable” i uzbrojony w 16 dział 234 mm. W zasadzie jest to zmodyfikowana i powiększona wersja okrętu prezentowanego już na tym blogu 14 grudnia 2010 r. (dla przypomnienia – był to „Perfection” - wczesny fisherowski koncept krążownika pancernego uzbrojony w 4x234 i 12x190), w którym artyleria główna została ujednolicona i ustawiona analogicznie jak na pancerniku „Untakeable”.
