Krążownik liniowy Triomphant - 13.06.2011

W 1913 r. M. Gille opracował projekt dużego (28.000 ton)  krążownika liniowego mającego być uzupełnieniem nowych super-drednotów Marine Nationale - okrętów typu Normandie i Lyon (patrz post z 22 marca 2010 r.). Podobnie jak one, krążownik ten miał być wyposażony w nowatorskie, poczwórne wieże z działami kal. 340 mm, w układzie: jedna na dziobie i dwie na rufie. Niestety, z powodu wybuchu Pierwszej Wojny Światowej, żaden z okrętów tego typu nie został zbudowany, ani nawet zamówiony. A szkoda – jakby się te wszystkie plany powiodły, Francja miała by całkiem pokaźną flotę – 4 dywizjony pancerników po 4 okręty (7 zbudowanych i 9 planowanych) plus dywizjon 4 krążowników liniowych..
Możliwe nazwy (to już moja fantazja;-)) :  Triomphant, Tonnant, Fulminant, Foudroyant.
