Niespełna rok
temu (post z 2 lipca 2010 r.) prezentowałem krążownik torpedowy dla MW
Francji. Okręt ten, delikatnie mówiąc, nie zachwycał, podobnie jak
realnie istniejące jednostki tej klasy próbujące pogodzić sprzeczne
wymagania - m.in prędkość, małe wymiary, silne uzbrojenie torpedowe itd.
Postanowiłem więc zaprojektować jednostkę radykalnie większą - przy
6000 ton wyporności można się już pokusić o przyzwoite osiągi,
opancerzenie i uzbrojenie.

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
2 863 lbs / 1 298 Kg = 21,3 x 6,5 " / 164 mm shells or 0,6 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1,46
Metacentric height 3,2 ft / 1,0 m
Roll period: 11,3 seconds
Steadiness - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 94 %
- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0,28
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1,88
Hull form characteristics:
Hull has a flush deck
Block coefficient: 0,572
Length to Beam Ratio: 8,76 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 20,55 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 45 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 50
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): -15,00 degrees
Stern overhang: 0,00 ft / 0,00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 20,57 ft / 6,27 m
- Forecastle (20%): 16,60 ft / 5,06 m
- Mid (50%): 14,37 ft / 4,38 m
- Quarterdeck (15%): 14,37 ft / 4,38 m
- Stern: 14,37 ft / 4,38 m
- Average freeboard: 15,47 ft / 4,71 m
Ship tends to be wet forward
Ship space, strength and comments:
Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 161,1%
- Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 61,8%
Waterplane Area: 14 508 Square feet or 1 348 Square metres
Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 97%
Structure weight / hull surface area: 80 lbs/sq ft or 390 Kg/sq metre
Hull strength (Relative):
- Cross-sectional: 0,96
- Longitudinal: 1,50
- Overall: 1,00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is cramped
Room for accommodation and workspaces is cramped
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Excellent seaboat, comfortable, can fire her guns in the heaviest weather
