Zmodyfikowany Yamato - 15.05.2010

Zmodyfikowany typ Yamato - okręty nr 797-799. Zmiany polegały na odchudzeniu pancerza burtowego i artylerii głównej, likwidacji artylerii średniej na rzecz zwiększonej do 40 liczby dział uniwersalnych kal. 100 mm. W zamian uzyskano pewną poprawę w parametrach, które były sporą piętą achillesowa oryginalnego Yamato, tj. w prędkości i zasięgu. Proponowane nazwy: Hatsuse (stępka 1942 r., wodowany w 1945 r., w służbie 1946 r.), Satsuma (1943, 1946, 1947), Suruga (1943, 1946, 1948).
