HMS Incomparable - 14.03.2010

Na początek może HMS Incomparable - marzenie lorda Fishera,ostateczne ucieleśnienie jego idei wielkiego krążownika, niezwykle silnie uzbrojonego i szybkiego, zdolnego zniszczyć każdy wrogi pancernik.

Pokusiłem się o odtworzenie tego projektu w Springsharpie. Od razu widać, że przy takich gabarytach zanurzenie 24stopy czyli nieco ponad 7 m jest nierealne – ja założyłem że to literówka i powinno być 34 stopy, czyli 10,4 m. Ale nawet przy takim zanurzeniu i wyporności standard rzędu 49.000 ton (albo wręcz 46.000ton normalnej jak chce inny link) nie da się „upchać” wymaganych parametrów. Dopiero wyporność standard rzędu 53.000 ton (a pełna 61.000ton!) pozwala osiągnąć je z grubsza (choć i tak nie do końca, bo prędkość max wynosi 34 w., 35 nie udało mi się uzyskać).
Swoją drogą, jakim cudem chciano osiągnąć zasięg 24.000 mil, skoro na paliwo przypadać miało maksymalnie jakieś 3.500 ton (różnica pomiędzy wypornością maksymalną a standardową)? Przy okazji wyszło też, że deklarowane 180.000 KM z pewnością nie wystarczyło by do rozpędzenia jednostki aż do 35 w.
